In the House of the Future project, the vision of architect Gunārs Birkerts – from a dark past to a bright present and enlightened future – was preserved. A light-filled extension doubled the museum’s space, adding a new exhibition hall, modern offices, and specially equipped storage and archive facilities.
Project solutions and challenges:
In the reconstruction project of the Museum of the Occupation, SB UN PARTNERI supplied and installed Scandinavian-standard ABLOY fittings in what became the company’s largest project to date with this brand. The key challenge was meeting all client and functional requirements while staying within the door certification parameters to avoid costly and time-consuming additional testing, ensuring the project was completed on time and to specification.
