Offset handles for framed doors – Safety for your hands
In profile frame doors, the space available for mounting locks and door handles is often very limited, which can cause a risk of injury if a hand comes into contact with the door frame when opening the door away from the body. The limited space also makes it difficult to install handles, escutcheons, and rosettes, as traditional through-screw mounting is often impossible. For this reason, handles, escutcheons, knobs, and large handles are usually mounted on one side of the door frame.
To address these challenges, a special profile frame door handle design has been developed with the grip part offset sideways or placed next to the handle spindle, reducing the risk of injury while ensuring stable, ergonomic, and safe operation—even on doors with particularly narrow profiles.
This technological solution allows any handle design to be adapted for profile frame doors, providing a uniform appearance, safe use, and long-lasting structural stability in both homes and public spaces.
