The grand and majestic Art Nouveau building, designed in 1900 by architect Rūdolfs Heinrihs Cirkvics, has been reborn after an extensive reconstruction. The project was carried out with deep respect for the UNESCO heritage, preserving the historic building while adding modern comforts.
VILLA 11 - villa11.lv - consists of functionally diverse apartments to suit a variety of tastes. The historic building, one of the first Art Nouveau constructions in Riga, has been seamlessly integrated with a contemporary extension that combines technology and functionality with the romanticism characteristic of Art Nouveau. For residents’ convenience, the ground floor houses a gym, while the courtyard offers parking and charging stations, as well as storage rooms.
Project solutions and challenges:
The project features high-end door hardware solutions, such as sophisticated, high-quality handles from the Italian brand OLIVARI. According to the zoning, apartment doors are fitted with matte chrome or matte brass-tone hardware. The central entrance doors are equipped with polished brass exterior handles from P. Bisschop.
Special attention has been paid to detail — for example, the central entrance doors feature polished brass DENI flush bolts and custom-gilded strike plates, ensuring that all elements are stylistically consistent with the materials characteristic of the building’s original era.
Sliding doors have been installed in partition walls, using ERMETIKA Evokit and ABSOLUTE Evokit concealed door frame systems.
